Budgerigars, our members breed excellent pet/avairy and exhibition birds of enormous colour variation.
British, our members breed british birds (these have to be close ringed within the first few days of hatching to proof they are avairy bred). The popular varieties are Goldfinches, Bullfinches and Siskins. However there is a large range and many are cross bred with canaries to create mules that can be very colourful and marvellous singing birds.
Foreign, our members breed a wide range, from Australian birds where imports have been banned for decades, many finches including Gouldians and Zebras, Parakeets including Bourkes and Splendid. Then from Africa after recent bans new breeding programmes and successes are becoming established.
